1. VP Engineering & Development

CarbonQuest is an exciting new company developing cutting edge decarbonization solutions and projects. Our mission is to “Lead the QUEST for decarbonization by providing urban building owners advanced technologies and solutions that ENABLE acceleration of global carbon reduction NOW”. We are seeking mission driven professionals who can help us accelerate our carbon reduction mission.

For this position, we are looking for an exceptional and experienced professional to join our management team and lead the engineering and development of our decarbonization products and services. Productization and scaling of our Building Carbon Capture technologies will be the primary job responsibility of this position. As a “get it done” startup company, we are seeking a “roll up your sleeves” hands-on leader who can function as a key individual contributor and leader in our dynamic environment. We are willing to consider a range of applicant experiences: from senior engineering and development gurus to seasoned leaders who can help us scale our products to deliver 100’s to 1000’s of products/projects over the coming years.

This position will have the lead responsibility to scale the development of a first of its kind solution and work closely with our Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Operations to turn our research and prototypes into high scalable and successful products.

The position will be based out of the Spokane Corporate office, periodically from a home office and travel to customer/project sites as required by the job.

 Manages all Engineering and Development aspects of Carbon Quest’s decarbonization Products (HW and Software) 

Minimum Job Responsibilities include:

  • Building and leading a team of Engineering and Development professionals to deliver a highly scalable, best in class, product offering
  • Works with internal teams, engineering partners, and supplier partners to ensure product requirements are met
  • Develops product development budgets and schedules and applies creative problem solving to ensure project budgets and schedules are delivered better than expectations ● Develops and documents processes to scale Engineering and Development ● Ensures Products comply with federal and state regulations
  • Supporting pre-sales process and other commercial activities as required Equips and supports Project Execution and Operations & Maintenance teams to ensure exceptional customer experience
  • Supports sustaining engineering activities for fielded products 

Qualifications / Skills: 

  • Process and Mechanical Engineering
  • History of success with Product Engineering and Development
  • History of building “best in breed” products 
  • History of scaling product development to meet market demands 
  • History of integration of complex process solutions 
  • Measurement, Instrumentation and Control of process solutions 
  • Engineering and Development project & budget management
  • Manufacturing methods and procedures

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or other Engineering, or other related discipline required; Process Engineering preferred ● 10+ years of product engineering and development experience
  • PE licence is a bonus
  • Proficient with suite of standard office tools and project management software; ● CAD experience is a bonus

2. Process Engineering Technician

CarbonQuest is an exciting early stage company developing cutting edge decarbonization solutions and projects. Our mission is to “Lead the QUEST for decarbonization by providing urban building owners advanced technologies and solutions that ENABLE acceleration of global carbon reduction NOW”.

We are seeking mission driven professionals who can help us accelerate carbon reduction
through efficient project execution of our solutions with our customers. In this role, we are
specifically looking for a Process Engineering Technician in Spokane Valley, Washington that
can assist us with the execution of our various research and development technical tasks on a
temporary or part time basis. A primary role for this position will be to work with our Chief
Technology Officer to support hands on laboratory testing to develop enhanced technology for
the separation of CO2 from flue gas. Compensation commensurate with experience.

Job Responsibilities include:

● Hands on execution of R&D tasks according to developed project plans
● Programs National Instruments LabView and associated I/O data acquisition to perform tests, collect data, and automate processes through continuous improvement.
● Applies creative problem solving to ensure R&D plan budgets and schedules are delivered better than expectations:
○ -Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
○ -Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
○ -Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.

● Develops and documents processes for project execution and controls.
● Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
● Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.

● Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Position Qualifications / Skills:

● Operational and programming experience with National Instruments LabView and I/O Data Acquisition instrumentation
● Construction of laboratory equipment and testing environments
● Knowledge of and technical proficiency with laboratory testing methods, procedures and documentation
● Safety management

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

● Technical degree or experience commensurate with job requirements

3. R&D Process Engineering Lab Intern

of global carbon reduction NOW”.
We are seeking mission driven professionals who can help us accelerate carbon reduction
through the development of innovative technologies and solutions. In this role, we are
specifically looking for a Research and Development Process Engineering Laboratory
Intern in Spokane Valley, Washington that can assist us with the execution of materials
research and development to enhance our products. This position will work with our Chief
Technology Office to support laboratory testing for our carbon capture solution to develop
enhanced technology for the separation of CO2 from flue gas.
